room to create...

Here's my desk today...

... busy creating a sermon, crafting a service, ready for Sunday morning - even broke out my college Greek New Testament to check something... Just seeing this beautiful language printed on those smooth, well-thumbed pages, suddenly makes me feel a teenager again!
And while it took me over 2 years to learn to read again after the stroke, I'm so grateful my knowledge of Greek (albeit rusty through lack of practice), also returned!

Yes, I wish I could paint like this

or write like this

but I can't.*
So, I'm making room to create
in the only way I know how,
right now ✏📓

Sharing with Julia over at The Stamping Ground.

* This has to be THE most beautiful book produced in 2017. It really is spell-binding, breath-taking, a treaure for all ages... ðŸ‘±ðŸ‘µðŸ‘¸

Hi Claire, thanks so much for popping over, agree with your thoughts on the book illustrations and poems, truly lovely. I studied Greek and it was good or learn another language that included an alphabet so different from ours, I remember some of it but fogotten lots, went to Bible college here in Oz. Very blessed. It certainly taught me a lot. Thanks for popping over too. Lots of folks can’t comment on google plus so may not get many coming. I don’t know why I can, as don’t use it myself, but havent had issues.
Thanks so much for your great desky share.

Well Claire, how lovely to see you back on the desks again! I appreciate your enjoyment of reading Greek, I really enjoyed learning Latin at school which I did for O Level. I also did a first year module in it at Uni - Virgil, Catullus, Ovid. Isn't it amazing how the body can reset itself after the huge disruption of a stroke? You must have worked so hard. And I'm not normally a lover of poetry but I enjoyed Otter very much.

Yes, I wish I could do those two things too! I remember doing a lot of fun research things as a child, trying to learn Hebrew, wanting to make a botanical book of drawings, or a book of animals. . .oh well! The memories are fun too! Thanks for your visit! Have a great week, Lindart #30
